Transportation and Meals

Out of town conference participants will be staying at the Stratford Inn Del Mar in beautiful downtown Del Mar.

Unfortunately, this hotel does not have airport pick-up service; therefore, unless you have other connections, your best bet is probably to use Could Nine Shuttle service to get from the airport to the hotel. The ride should cost about $20 with a tip each way.

Once you get to the hotel, we'll do our best to provide necessary transportation. We'll have a large van to bring people from the hotel to the department, from the department to the dinners, and from the dinners back to the hotel on both days.

Coffee hours on both days, and breakfast and lunch on the 12th, will be provided at the department by the University Catering service. We have a 7:30 pm dinner reservation on Friday night the 11th at a Nuevo Latino place called Tamarindo, which is located at 1044 Wall St. in La Jolla, phone: 858 551 7575. For dinner on Saturday the 12th we'll have a barbecue at Jonathan's house -- directions to follow in case you are getting there by some means other than the conference van.
