Color Figures for "Color Constancy as Counterfactual"
Here are the color figures for my paper "Color Constancy
as Counterfactual", which appeared in the Australasian Journal of
Philosophy.
Unfortunately, the printed version of the paper contained only
achromatic (black and white) reproductions of these figures.
Therefore I'm making the color versions available in one place
here.
Figure 1
Partially sunlit coffee cup.
Figure 2
Common objects under different daylight illuminants.
(Thanks to David Hilbert for supplying and allowing me to use these
photographs.)
Figure 3
Adding a well-placed border to figure 1 substantially weakens the
impression that the two regions of the depicted coffee cup are alike
in apparent colour.
